Yesterday Andrea became the first tropical storm to form this season, forming in the Gulf of Mexico. The storm is headed towards the Florida panhandle.

Fortunately, the storm has a lot of dry air that will keep the storm from rapidly intensifying and should not be a major wind threat. However, the storm could generate significant rainfall.
