Wisconsin Emergency Management Association

320 South Walnut, Appleton, 54911, WI, USA
The Wisconsin Emergency Management Association (WEMA) is an association of people and businesses that are interested in promoting effective emergency management planning, training and exercise programs throughout the State of Wisconsin.

The purpose of the Wisconsin Emergency Management Association is to advocate, promote and represent statewide emergency management interests in order to enhance the safety and security of all citizens.

The Association typically provides an annual symposium with training that addresses topics supporting effective emergency management programs. The Association provides three membership categories. Active members are current municipal and county program directors interested in progressive emergency management initiatives. These members may serve on the Board of Directors and have a vote at the annual meeting of the Association. Associate Members are individual members who are interested in emergency management, that do not serve on the Board or vote at meetings. They are invited and encouraged to serve on committees and attend meetings of the association. Sustaining Members are industry, business, and corporate members that join to support local emergency management programs throughout the State of Wisconsin.
