Midwest Drought May Cause Shipping Disaster

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

A key principle to remember is some disasters create an immediate effect, while others unfold over time. The Midwest drought, the worst in 50 years is one such disaster.

We have all been saddened, and outraged with the murders of 20 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook School. Political leaders, and others are calling for new measures to stop violence.  In the coming weeks pushes will come for new gun control measures, mental health procedures and better ways to fight violence. God’s Power to Change Circumstances

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

Do we believe in God’s power to change our circumstances? Let’s look at an historic example from 2 Kings 7:1-17 (NIV). The people were starving in the city. Four lepers were desperate, down to three options, all very bad. The lepers believe two of the options would result in certain death, the third option in likely death. A small chance is better then no chance. Likewise, we often have two or more choices, all-negative. Our responsibility is the choose the best option. Only the Lord can show us the best path.
