Home Security

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

Protecting Your Home From Thieves

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

Most automatic garage doors can be opened by a burglar in less the six seconds from the outside of your house. I won’t tell you how they accomplish this but understand many are using a new technique to enter garages, and then your home.

A major explosion ripped through an Indianapolis neighborhood overnight leaving two confirmed dead and 200 others homeless. As hurricane Sandy lumbered ashore, those in the path had days to prepare. These people had no time. Many were asleep when the explosion happened.

Preparing Safe Drinking Water

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

Lack of drinking water can cause incapacity after three days, and far sooner in Arizona where I live.  Storing emergency drinking water is a good first step in any emergency preparedness checklist. What if you are in a situation without safe drinking water? You can drink what you find, and hope for the best, or learn how to make most water drinkable. Just drinking untreated water can make you and others very sick.

Most of us know boiling water for 6 minuets will work. You need water, a fire, and a safe container to boil the water. Water doesn't need to boil to kill the bad stuff, just be heated to 160 degrees, wile boiling if possible is better, this method will work.
