'Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' (Philippians 4:6) -- 'Let us endeavor to discover how prayer, in its scope, covers the personal, social, material, natural, spiritual, ecclesiastical, and national realms. The words “nothing” and “every thing” are absolutely all-embracing and all-inclusive in their scope (cf. Matt 21:22; John 14:14). Beyond these realms we cannot go. Prayers are related to all that we can see in the world around us.' —Herbert Lockyer

Lord, as believers in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we come to you today to Pray4America on our knees with all humility acknowledging that we in ourselves have no strength, wisdom or empowerment to carry your banner of righteousness without the indwelling of your Holy Spirit.  (Acts 2:4)

'But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.' (John 4:14) -- "Many people are starving for something good from God. They wait patiently, hoping someone will come and share a portion of God's truth with them. They have hungered so long and crave to be helped. Their help can be found in Jesus...Are you thirsty? Have you accepted Christ as your Savior? Ask Him for His life-giving water today." (Jim Kraus)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. --II Chronicles 7:14

'Four biblical assurances that can help preserve our cherished freedoms are: 1] Remember, As Christians, We Can Trust in God to Supply Our Needs (Matt 6:26); 2] Be Faithful to Witness for Christ and Be Active in Your Church (Mark 16:15); 3] Work Hard and Help Others (Acts 20:35); 4] Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is (Matt 6:19-21)' (Dr. David Gibbs Jr., Founder, Christian Law Association)

'I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.' (John 15:5)

“What the Church needs today is not more machinery or better, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but men who the Holy Ghost can use—men of prayer, men mighty in prayer. The Holy Ghost does not flow through methods, but through men. He does not come on machinery, but on men. He does not anoint plans, but men—men of prayer.” (E.M. Bounds)

My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him... --II Chronicles 29:11

'Here are a few things God’s people should be doing: 1] We need to pray for a spiritual awakening among the people of the world. 2] We need to get thoroughly right with God and walk in the Holy Spirit’s power. 3] We need to love people and show them grace even when they are not kind to us and even when their lives are not what they ought to be. 4] We need to work on our homes and families. If you are married, work on your marriage, and make sure you model the truths found in Scripture. Train your children to know and live for God. 5] Pray for your pastor and your church leaders to be people of great faith and credibility. 6] Live in the light that Christ will soon return...We are either part of the solution or we are part of the problem. By God’s grace, let’s be a part of the solution!' --Dr. Kevin Folger
