Tornadoes strike across the country. For those in a direct path of a strong tornado there is no escape, you must have a place prepared in advance to protect you and your family. We may easily believe the tornado will hit somebody else. We have seen pictures of storm damage, one street demolished, while the next block is untouched.
The map below was created by NOHA showing the past 60 years of documented tornado strikes. The brighter images are the stronger storms.
Much of the country is at risk. Part of being emotionally prepared to ride out a storm is to have an emergency plan in place. Where you take cover? What is the safest place in your home?
Make out a Disaster Preparedness Checklist. Then act and get the supplies needed. The action you take is step one in preparing emotionally and spiritually for any disaster.
