Noah’s Faith

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

The writer of Hebrews covers the faith of many in the past (See Hebrews chapter 11). The writer says of Noah, “By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.” (Hebrews 11:7 NIV)

The summer fire season is upon us, with dry conditions across much of the west due to a light snowfall. Soon, the news will be full of firers raging out of control, firefighters building fire lines and home burned to the ground.

This home was saved using Thermo-Gel® Class A fire retardant gel.

Too Anxious to Rejoice?

Posted by Sandie Sangster in ReadyChristian , Preparedness , Personal Crisis , Leadership

The Bible says: “Rejoice in the Lord always. [I may appear repetitious, Paul says, but] I will say it once more; rejoice.” Philippians 4:4

How can a person not worry or be anxious when the storm is rising and headed their way; a loved one has been involved in a terrible accident and is hanging onto life; or perhaps you are thirty-two years old, married to the love of your life, with two wonderful children.  Suddenly one day you are diagnosed with stage four cancer and the future is very dismal.  How, tell me how are you to rejoice in such dismal circumstances and not become anxious?

We must read and listen closely; the statement is not recommending that we rejoice in the circumstance, the statement is stating rejoice in the Lord!

God Refreshes

Through daily life, we need to be refreshed. Refreshment can come in many different ways. This morning I felt refreshed by a cool breeze after a quick run. This weekend, I felt refreshed by setting aside time to seek and hear from God.

What are some ways that you have felt refreshed lately?

Greetings from the pages of God’s Holy Word found in the Book of Galatians:

Galatians Chapter One

Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead— and all the brothers who are with me,
