A Headlamp During Power Outages

When the power goes out we are forced to use alternative lighting.  Most of us have one or more flashlights available. While these work OK, consider getting a small headlamp. You can fasten these around your head, leaving your hands free for work or to carry things.

Just turn your head to adjust the light beam.

An additional use is to place your head lamp around a gallon of water with the light facing into the water bottle. The light will be defused by the water and spread through the room, giving you a good soft light source.

Make sure you have extra batteries on hand to keep the lamp on.
