Ministry 9-1-1's Call of the day...

Posted by Dave Purdle in Untagged

Today, in a nation founded upon Bible principles, many are doing their best to eradicate officials who openly acknowledge their belief in God and the Bible, and then cry “foul” whenever biblical principles are brought into the discussion. “Separation of church and state” they say, though no such wording is found in the U.S. Constitution. “We don’t want to offend those who don’t believe in God,” though those who don’t believe in Him don’t care if they say hateful things about Christianity and Christians. It is confounding to realize that after nearly 250 years of success under the basic tenets of Christianity, so many antagonists want to do away with it. That is in stark contrast to what Artaxerxes wrote to Ezra:  “And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment” (Ezra 7:26). –Chaplain Grant Wolf

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1) — “Christ is our A—Z: He is almighty in power; He is beautiful in holiness; He is compassionate of heart; He is dependable in keeping His promises; He is eternal in His nature; He is forgiving of all; He is gracious to the undeserving; He is holy, holy, holy; He is infinite in wisdom; He is just in His dealings; He is kind unto His children; He is longsuffering toward sinners; He is merciful to the broken in spirit; He is near to all who call upon Him; He is the omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient God; He is providential—always in control; He is a quickening Spirit—giving life to all and eternal life to those who trust Jesus Christ, and one day will call all forth from their graves; He is royal and clothed in majesty; He is sovereign over all earthly powers; He is trustworthy at all times; He is the unchanging God; He is victorious over all His enemies; He is worthy of all praise & worship; He is exalted upon His throne; He is your God by faith in Jesus Christ; and He is zealous to protect His name and perform His program.” (Evangelist Doug Lowery)

“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” (Matthew 5:13-14) — “I pray that the Lord will make me a bolder witness for Him as I depend on the strength and presence of the Holy Spirit. I pray that I will care more for others than I do for myself, telling gladly of all the wonderful works the Lord has done to reconcile those who are lost to Himself. I pray that I will be a visible Christian.” (Becky Calvert)

Lets Build A Wall For the Lord

Posted by Steve Marr in Untagged

The Lord spoke to Ezekiel and said “Again the word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, say to the land, ‘You are a land that has not been cleansed or rained on in the day of wrath.’  There is a conspiracy of her princes within her like a roaring lion tearing its prey; they devour people, take treasures and precious things and make many widows within her.  Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.  Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain.  Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says’—when the Lord has not spoken. The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the foreigner, denying them justice. “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. 31 So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.” (Ezekiel 22:23-31 NIV)

In America, and the world, the land has not been cleansed and been made righteous. Only through holy obedience to God can the land be restored. Many leaders, in both the U.S. and internationally are corrupt, taking from the people. In Egypt, and other countries how many widows are created with the killing of innocent people? How many children and woman have died?

How many, claiming to represent God rob, kill and oppress worldwide?

“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” (I Corinthians 16:9) — “What can we learn from this verse about opportunity and opposition?  1] Opportunity and opposition don’t cancel out one another; opportunities do! Paul spoke of an open door and open opposition in the same breath. 2] Opportunity and opposition are usually found together. 3] Expect both opportunity and opposition, but go looking for the opportunity.” (Wil Rice, IV) — “A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.” (Sir Francis Bacon)

“And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” (Matthew 26:39) — “What are some truths that can be gleaned from knowing that Gethsemane’s cup is distinct from Calvary’s?  One lesson is that God is faithful…Secondly, we learn important lessons about prayer…Another important lesson is that we are able to witness the reality of sin’s awfulness as the Holy One faces the hour of becoming sin for us.” (Evangelist Gordon Phillips)
