Back Up Heat Options

With power still out for many homeowners in New York, New Jersey and parts of New England, colder temperatures highlight the need for back up heat.  Most heating systems won’t work without electricity. A standard fireplace doesn’t give much heat, especially for the amount of wood used.

 

As Hurricane Sandy created massive damage across North Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Rode Island; some pundits were touting how this would be good for the economy. Repairing infrastructure and homes would put many people back to work and boost the economy. Wouldn’t it?
